Project summary:

The aim of the RR project is to develop an intelligent system for quality control in production, which will be able to control the parameters of the production processes and the quality of the final products. The system will consist of two parts: An intelligent system for monitoring process parameters, storing them in a database and analyzing these data with artificial intelligence methods;
Reconfigurable robot control cells for 100% quality control on the assembly or other production line.

The reconfigurable robot control cell developed will be able to implement procedures for testing final quality and product performance. The cell will be able to adapt quickly to changing conditions or to changing products. This is one of the key features that will allow the control of products even on lines that produce different types of finished products with no or minimal human intervention.

With the help of artificial intelligence algorithms, the system detects even problematic relations in case of a fault, announces the foreseeable problem in the future, and thus helps to improve the productivity. It will cover all phases of the production, from the manufacture of semi-finished products to assembly and final inspection, surface scanning and the execution of manipulative robot functions. For this purpose, new methods of robot control and programming will be developed and applied.
