CV

Mitja Babič attended Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he obtained the PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2010. His PhD covered control of electroelastic polymer actuators. He is currently a research assistant the department of Automation, Biocybernetics and Robotics, at the “Jožef Stefan” Institute of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Together with coworkers of the department of Automation, Biocybernetics and Robotics, he received the Slovenian Puh award 2007, for inventions, development and use of scientific results and innovations in economics, for the thermal foot model and gait simulator. 

 

His research interests include the development of thermal evaporative models (manikins) and electroelastic polymer actuators. Research of electroelastic polymer actuators is done in collaboration with the department of Mechanical, Nuclear, Aviation and Metallurgical Engineering (DIEM), University of Bologna, Italy.
