Damir Omrcen received his PhD in robotics from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2005. He is employed as a research assistant at the Department of Automation, Biocybernetics and Robotics at "Jozef Stefan" Institute in Ljubljana. His fields of interest include vision and robot control where he combines classical model based approaches and more advanced approaches based on exploration and learning.
